Photographer Takes Funny Photos Of Cats High On Catnip, And The Results Are Pawsome

Cats have always been an endless source of inspiration for photographers of all levels. They can be the first subject a wannabe photographer choses to portray, as well as the inspiration for a professional photo series.
Andrew Marttila is a Washington D.C.-based pro photographer, best know for his creative and playful portraits of cats.
For his latest project Marttila decided to portray what happens when cats are high on catnip, a perennial herb completely safe for cats, that affects them for just a few minutes, “Whether it’s eating it, playing with it, or rolling around in it, catnip turns our domestic feline friends into hilarious balls of activity. Carefree and unconstrained, they are free to be silly, exceptionally playful, and downright gnarly.”
Marttila compiled his photo series into a book, named Cats on Catnip, available right now on Amazon.
