Hogre, a well-known Italian street artist, is also known to be one of Europe’s most inventive ‘subvertiser’. In the book he authored, entitled Subvertising, he features a collection of his work, entailing the removal and replacement of billboard ads with totally altered ones, for the sole purpose of expressing his aversion towards consumerist propaganda. His works are intensely satirical and brutally honest, and he hopes that through his work he could spread awareness and put an end to the “brainwashing evils of consumerism”. In the following photos you’ll see him attack companies, unmasking the truth and revealing the dirty lies they never tell us.
